Dr. Kevin Hairston
Dr. Kevin S. Hairston is the Pastor/Founder of Living Word Bible Fellowship Church. He is a native of Columbus, Ohio, where he attended Columbus Public Schools. After graduating from High School, he attended The Ohio State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. He later attended Trinity Lutheran Seminary where he obtained a Master’s degree in Theological Studies. In 2008, he received his Doctorate in Ministry from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.
God placed a vision for rebuilding lives and community in the heart of Dr. Hairston at a very early age. He has previously worked for several non-profit organizations over the years and has extensive experience in conducting workshops and seminars on homeownership, financial planning, and fundraising. Dr. Hairston’s desire and vision is to, collectively, take the Church outside of its four walls and make an impact in the world around us. Over the past twenty years we have seen urban and suburban churches increase in membership, however, our inner city communities are lacking spiritual revitalization. Dr. Hairston’s goal is to bridge church resources with community participation and impact the lives in our communities with the saving grace and love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Dr. Hairston has served in various pastoral and leadership positions within the local body of believers for over 25 years. He has been married to his lovely wife, Minister Mia Hairston, for 24 years and has a beautiful daughter, Kennedy. His love for God, the people of God, and God’s community is infectious!
